After the game we set up a few images of Jim's army.

The whole Ayyubid force...I wouldn't like to guess the points!

The heavy mob.

Jim's latest addition to his army, some infantry. When I get more Crusaders done Jim can then start to field his whole force.

All my Crusaders to date.

A close up of my new Crusader division.
The Kingdom of Heaven shot....had to be done :)I'll add some more bases to my army in a few weeks time! Just in case anyone is interested...Jim's Ayyubid army remains undefeated! Did I mention that I hate them?

Your Crusaders look great. Are the majority of his figures from Gripping Beast?
What ever happened to your Republican Roman project?
Consul
Fantastic, yours and Mr Jim's armies are lovely, can't wait for more
cheers

Thanks Guys,
Jim's Ayyubid army looks amazing on the table!
Consul: Don't worry it's getting painted!I'm working on it in the background and will keep posting images. However, now that the crusader Impetus army is finished,I'll be working on a Samurai Impetus army :)
You really seem to have embraced impetus fully. I might need to put some pressure on the club so we try it out.
Amazing armies, both of you. Wish I had witnessed that game.
That's an impressive array of miniatures. Both sides look fantastic although my money would on the Ayyubids at present.
Jim's army like mine comprises of Gripping Beast Arabs/Seljuk and some Rus, Musketeer, Perry and a few Navigator. Not sure if he also swopped rider and horses for even more variation, ie Perry rider on GB horse.
Both armies look top notch!Looking forward to seeing your Samurai army as I also thought of doing one for Impetus in the future. The amount of figures and the type of bases seem ready made for them.
Cheers
Christopher
Both armies are looking fantastic!
Syrians are my next project of Impetus and will be using the Ayyubid army for inspiration

Lovely armies... how are you finding the rules?
Also, what sized bases have you used for your Impetus armies?
Thanks.
Simple awesome SD.

I've just posted a battle report on Angus Konstam's Edinburgh Wargames site.

Hi Guys,
Thanks Guys!
To answer a few questions...
I love the rules! The base size is 120mm by 60mm or 120 by 80mm for cav, 120 by 60 or 120 by 40mm for Infantry depending on troop type.
Mr Hodge: Thanks for the one sided battle report but I have only had three battles with the Crusaders and won the first games against Jack!
Jim's beeing telling fibs then :-)
Derek: I think so! Never mind it will make that victory all the better when it happens! :)
Unfortunately he is undefeated with his Ayyubid scum and he has had a few games with Jack and others! This could be what he was on about!
I've changed the write up (a bit) :-)
Hodge is misrepresenting me
Honest gov
I imagine that this is exactly what Lorenzo envisioned in his mind's eye as he wrote the rules. Has he seen this stuff?
Absolutely spectacular work!
Jim: As we all know history is written by the victor...wargames, however, is different :) I refer you to the comment I made as we passed going into Claymore!
Jet: Thank you! Lorenzo has seen the blog and I'm sure he would have liked it!

what make of figures are Jim's Ayyubid range from?
I think he said...the figures are from Gripping Beast, Musketeer Miniatures, A and A, Essex and Foundty. Just about everyone who makes a figure would that would do!
